Other Mentoring Programs

Local Big Brothers Big Sisters may have other mentoring programs available to meet the unique needs of your community. Some of the programs being offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters in your community include:

                 Big BunchBig Bunch Logo

Big Bunch serves children who are already enrolled with the Big Brothers Big Sisters agency and are currently waiting for a traditional Big Brother or Big Sister match. A Big Bunch match presents the opportunity to take part in community activities in a small group setting.

Littles who are selected for a Big Bunch match are placed into groups with other Littles who are close in age and who have similar interests. Each group match will be comprised of two or thee Littles, with one Big Sister or Big Brother. Big Bunch matches will maintain our gender specific protocol.

Littles will meet with one group mentor out in the community twice a month for five months. (Each group match is comprised of 10 outings.)

Youth In Care   Publication2 (150x86)

Youth in Care serves children who are in the care of the Children's Aid Society. The Youth In Care program will match youth ages 12-17 with Mentors. A Youth In Care match presents the opportunity to match a Mentee with a caring, responsible, mature role model for the purpose of increasing self-esteem, providing healthy development and leadership roles.

Mentees and Mentors will be matched based on similar interests, maturity and personal experiences. Mentees and Mentors will meet bi-weekly for 2-3 hours.
